In a bold move to curb illegal immigration, President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday night, cutting off all taxpayer-funded benefits for undocumented immigrants. Strengthening Eligibility Verification
Trump’s directive calls for a major overhaul of eligibility verification systems to “enhance eligibility verification systems, to the maximum extent possible” to ensure that only those legally entitled receive government assistance.
To ensure full compliance, agencies must report any improper benefits given to illegal immigrants to the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security for legal action. This step solidifies the administration’s intent to prevent further misuse of taxpayer dollars.
Billionaire Elon Musk’s Role in the Crackdown
