Things Get Heated When This Teacher Invites ICE to Raid His School – You Have to See This!

A substitute teacher in Texas is facing backlash after suggesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid his school due to students who “don’t even speak English.” The comments, posted on social media, sparked outrage and prompted an investigation by the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD).

The teacher, whose identity has not been disclosed, posted the controversial statement using the X username @Hookem232. Responding to an ICE update on arrests made on January 23, the teacher wrote, “Come to Fort Worth, TX to Northside High School. I have many students who don’t even speak English and they are in 10th-11th grade. They have to communicate through their iPhone translator with me. The [U.S. Department of Education] should totally overhaul our school system in Texas too.”

A Texas substitute teacher is being investigated after allegedly urging ICE officers to come to his school.

The FWISD confirmed they are taking the matter seriously. School Board President Roxanne Martinez assured parents and community members, “Please be assured that we are taking this situation very seriously and are committed to resolving it as quickly as possible.”

Fort Worth public schools serve a diverse community, with two-thirds of students identifying as Hispanic and more than one-third learning English as a second language. Interim Superintendent Karen Molinar emphasized the district’s support for its families, stating, “We are supporting all families during this time.” While the investigation is ongoing, the substitute teacher has been removed from teaching duties.

The social media post ignited concerns about the safety and well-being of students, especially amid broader national debates about immigration policy. The post coincided with a directive under the Trump administration permitting ICE to operate in “sensitive areas,” including schools and places of worship. Additionally, discussions about heightened border security have added to the tension.

The district is investigating the social media post.

This incident is not the first time FWISD has faced controversy over anti-immigrant rhetoric. In 2019, another teacher, Georgia Clark, made headlines for her remarks on social media. Clark, an English teacher at Carter-Riverside High School, directly appealed to then-President Donald Trump, alleging that her school was “loaded with illegal students from Mexico.” In one post, she wrote, “Mr. President, Fort Worth Independent School District is loaded with illegal students from Mexico. Carter-Riverside High School has been taken over by them.”

Clark’s tweets included claims that her attempts to “remove the illegals” were ignored by local and federal authorities. She even provided phone numbers to facilitate contact and claimed she needed “protection from recrimination” for her actions. After initially being placed on administrative leave, Clark was ultimately fired by the school district.

These incidents highlight ongoing challenges in addressing diversity and inclusion within schools. They also underscore the need for educators to create supportive environments for all students, regardless of their background or language proficiency.

As FWISD continues its investigation, the community remains on edge. For many, the comments are a reminder of the struggles faced by immigrant families and the importance of fostering acceptance in educational settings.

In a district where inclusivity is a core value, remarks like these threaten to erode trust and create divisions. However, officials have reiterated their commitment to ensuring every student feels supported and valued, regardless of language barriers or immigration status.
