Democrats have a new favorite taunt: “Hope you get exactly what you voted for.” It’s meant as a jab at Trump supporters, but for many, it’s not an insult—it’s a wish fulfilled.
Country star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany are among those who proudly backed Donald Trump, expecting him to follow through on his promises. And now, as Trump’s second term takes shape, they say they’re getting exactly what they wanted.
During a recent Instagram Live Q&A, the couple was asked how they felt about the president’s performance so far. Perhaps the question was meant to provoke regret. Instead, it got a confident endorsement.
“I’m actually excited, honestly,” Jason said. “Obviously, you guys know this—we’ve been a fan of his for a long time. And he’s doing, I think, what a lot of us hoped he would, what he said he was gonna do, and he’s doing that.
“I think at the end of the day, it seems he’s going to save taxpayers a lot of money, he’s saving a ton of our tax dollars that are going to waste.”
Brittany was equally pleased, particularly with Trump’s focus on border security.
“This is what I voted for,” she said.
While the media continues to push narratives of division, the Aldeans remain confident in both Trump and other high-profile figures shaking up the system. Jason also voiced support for Elon Musk, praising his efforts despite ongoing media criticism.
“I watched his whole speech… I thought it was amazing.
“He, to me, is coming in and doing everything he said he was going to do, which is going in and start trying to get us back on the right track, and I truly feel like that’s what’s happening.
“I think Elon’s doing a great job, and I dunno, we’re excited.”
Brittany, meanwhile, isn’t losing any sleep over her vote.
“I sleep way better at night.”

Their confidence isn’t surprising. The Aldeans have been vocal Trump supporters from the beginning, backing him in the 2024 election and even joining him at the Republican National Convention. Jason performed at the event, and the couple got a personal shoutout from Trump himself:
“And Jason, the biggest star in country music. Jason, thank you for being here. Jason, thank you very much. Jason Aldean, he’s good.
“I like his wife even better, by the way. She’s here.”
Classic Trump.
Aldean also took center stage at Trump’s inaugural ball, performing his controversial hit Try That In A Small Town. After facing years of backlash for his support, he now says he feels vindicated.
“I do feel a little vindicated. My wife and I talk about this all the time, it’s like for the last four years especially, you take a lot of heat for stepping out and telling people how we feel about the state of the country and that regime that had been in office.
“So it’s been a little odd at times, but it’s cool to look here this week and see all the celebrities and people that are showing up that didn’t really speak out, but it’s a good thing. It just means that hopefully it’s getting everything back on track and we’re all getting on the same page.”
Aldean, like millions of Trump voters, isn’t just hoping to get what he voted for—he believes he already is. And so far, he’s got no complaints.
