Will Melania Trump Call the White House Home?
Melania Trump, a 54-year-old Slovenian American and former model, has often been criticized for her perceived absence during her husband’s campaigns and court trials. Her limited public appearances have fueled uncertainty about her role and residence during Trump’s presidency.
During the interview, Melania clarified her plans, emphasizing a balance between her roles as a mother, wife, and First Lady. She shared that her time will be divided between Washington, D.C., New York City, and Palm Beach. Each location, she explained, reflects her personal and professional priorities.
“I will be in the White House,” Melania confirmed. “And when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach. My first priority is to be a mom, to be a First Lady, to be a wife.”
What About Barron Trump?
In addition to her plans, Melania provided insight into the living arrangements of her son, 18-year-old Barron Trump. Despite his current residence in New York, he will have a permanent space in the White House to use as he wishes.
Barron, Donald Trump’s youngest son, recently moved from the family’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach to Trump Tower in New York. He is currently attending New York University’s Stern School of Business. However, Melania emphasized that the door to the White House is always open for him.
“Whatever he would like to do,” Melania said, describing her parenting philosophy. “I feel as children, we have them ’til they are 18, 19 years old. We teach them, we guide them, and then we give them the wings to fly.” She added, “I always respect Barron’s yes and no, and what he likes to do, where he would like to be.”
