A 21-year-old Irish woman tragically lost her life after a harrowing fall of 500 feet at a popular rock climbing destination near El Chorro, Malaga. Her male companion narrowly survived, clinging to a rock covered in bushes to avoid plunging into the ravine below.

Despite their best efforts to revive him, including CPR and a helicopter evacuation, he was pronounced dead upon reaching medical personnel. A spokesman for the Guardia Civil remarked on the incident, stating, “When officers reached the man he had gone into cardiac arrest. Despite practicing CPR on him and evacuating him rapidly from the scene by helicopter to a nearby heliport where medical services were waiting, they were only able to confirm his death.”
