No Vax, No Care – Hospital Turns Its Back on 12-Year-Old Girl in Desperate Need!

A heartbreaking case out of Ohio has sparked outrage after a 12-year-old girl was denied a life-saving heart transplant—all because she hasn’t received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Adaline Deal, adopted from China when she was four, has battled severe heart conditions for nearly a decade under the care of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Her family, distant relatives of Vice President JD Vance, knew she would eventually need a transplant. But when the time came, doctors refused to place her on the transplant list unless she got the vaccine.

Her mother, Janeen, was stunned by the decision and said the family requested both medical and religious exemptions, only to be denied.

“I thought, wow. So, it’s not about the kid. It’s not about saving her life.”

The hospital’s stance is based on guidelines from the National Institute of Health, which advises transplant patients to be vaccinated due to their compromised immune systems post-surgery. The risk, they argue, is that without vaccination, Adaline could face severe complications if she contracted COVID after the procedure.

But the situation raises serious ethical questions. Without a new heart, Adaline’s prognosis is grim. The vaccine requirement—meant to prevent potential health risks—seems irrelevant when the alternative is near-certain death. The family isn’t convinced the shot is necessary, particularly given concerns about reported links between the vaccine and heart conditions.

With nowhere else to turn, the family has launched a GoFundMe to explore alternative transplant centers that won’t impose the same requirement. Their fight has also caught the attention of Ohio lawmakers, with one state legislator vowing to introduce a bill that would ban hospitals from denying transplants based on vaccination status.

Vice President Vance has yet to speak publicly on the matter, but given his strong opposition to vaccine mandates, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him take a stand.

The controversy highlights the lingering effects of COVID-era policies, where personal choice continues to be at odds with institutional mandates. The idea that a hospital would rather let a child die than allow her to receive a transplant without a vaccine has left many questioning the ethics of such rigid policies.

As the family scrambles to find another option, the debate rages on: Is this about protecting patients or enforcing a medical agenda? Whatever the case, a young girl’s life hangs in the balance, and time is running out.

This story is developing as the family continues their search for a new transplant center. Stay tuned for updates.
