Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary rocker, has come forward with a heartfelt admission about his health. Despite being 75 years old and facing serious medical challenges, including Parkinson’s disease, he remains in good spirits. In an exclusive interview, the Black Sabbath frontman shared, “I’m nearly f—— dead,” but quickly added, “I had a f—— great time.”
For decades, Osbourne has been a symbol of rock and roll resilience, and even now, as he confronts chronic pain, he chooses to focus on the positives. Recently, it was revealed that he’s back on medication to manage his pain, yet he remains philosophical about his situation, saying, “If it is the end of the road, I can’t complain.”
One of the things Osbourne misses most is his homeland, England. Although he hopes to return one day, his current health condition makes long-distance travel difficult. “I miss you guys (the UK),” he admitted. “I was supposed to come back a year ago, but because of my ill health and my disabilities, they won’t let me.” His longing for home is palpable, as he mentioned how he invested heavily in renovations at his house near Beaconsfield, including an indoor pool, which he has yet to see in person due to his inability to travel.
In addition to the physical challenges, Osbourne remains grateful for the unwavering support of his family, particularly his wife, Sharon, and their children. Reflecting on his life and career, Sharon once asked him if he would change anything, to which he responded, “No, I had a f—— great time.”
Despite his health battles, Ozzy continues to maintain his sense of humor and his love for life. He joked about how his children and Sharon might be split between England and America, hinting that they could follow him back to the UK if he ever moves back permanently. “Maybe Sharon will want to keep a place here and a place there, we’ll see. I don’t want to end my days in America,” he said, half-jokingly.
One of the more harrowing moments of his health decline came after a fall in 2019, which has left him unable to walk properly ever since. Recalling the incident, he shared, “I fell over and I landed wrong. I went to the doctor’s and you assume everybody knows what they’re doing.” He even referenced his son, Jack, who recorded a video of him going into surgery, confidently saying, “I’ll see you in a few minutes.” Unfortunately, the recovery didn’t go as planned, and Osbourne has struggled with mobility ever since.
Despite everything, one recent achievement brought him immense joy—his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. Describing the honor as “the best news I’ve had in years,” Ozzy was visibly moved during the induction ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio. The rocker took the stage, avoiding a lengthy speech, and simply expressed his gratitude: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
As he continues to navigate his health journey, Osbourne remains a figure of resilience and humor, showing that even in the face of immense challenges, he is still the Prince of Darkness, full of wit and gratitude. His story serves as a reminder that life is meant to be lived fully, regardless of the hurdles along the way.
