Eastwood’s heartbreak over Sandera’s passing was no secret. She died at the age of 61, leaving him “devastated.” He paid tribute to her in a heartfelt statement: “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much.”

Sandera’s death was confirmed as a result of a heart attack. According to the Monterey County Health Department, she suffered from cardiac arrhythmia, an abnormal heart rhythm, along with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, which contributed to her passing.

The couple’s love story began in 2014 when Eastwood met Sandera, who was working as a hostess at his Carmel eatery, the Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant. Though they maintained a relatively low profile throughout their relationship, they were often seen together at high-profile events, including movie premieres and even the Oscars.
