Deer Hunter Stumbles Upon a Shocking Discovery – You Won’t Believe What He Found!

Human remains discovered by a deer hunter in the small town of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, may provide a crucial lead in the case of missing toddler Elijah Vue, 3, who vanished six months ago. The remains were found on private property, sparking fresh hope in the ongoing search for answers in a case that has haunted the community since February.

The toddler, last seen on February 20, was reported missing by an adult caregiver. Despite a massive search effort involving local law enforcement, the FBI, and search teams equipped with drones, no sign of Elijah had been found—until now. Sheriff Dan Hartwig confirmed the discovery of remains but stressed that it’s too early to determine if they belong to Elijah. “We are fully aware of the ongoing case of missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue… however, at this time, we are unable to confirm if the remains discovered are related to this case.”

Residents of Two Rivers, located about 30 miles from Green Bay, have followed the case closely. Mary Edwards, a local resident, said that while she noticed the ongoing police presence in the area, she didn’t see much activity when the remains were found. She did, however, mention seeing Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, around town. “For whatever reason, she seemed fixated with this place… she loved it here, apparently,” Edwards shared.

The disappearance of Elijah has cast a shadow over the quiet town. Katrina Baur, 31, and her partner, Jesse Vang, 39, were both arrested shortly after the toddler’s disappearance. Baur was charged with child neglect and resisting or obstructing an officer, while Vang was charged with one count of child neglect. Neither has been charged in relation to Elijah’s disappearance, but both have pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against them.

According to court documents, Baur had sent her son to live with Vang for “disciplinary reasons.” She reportedly wanted him to teach Elijah how to “be a man.” Vang’s method of discipline, however, was harsh—he allegedly made Elijah endure cold showers and stand for hours as punishment. Investigators also found disturbing photos on Baur’s phone, showing the young boy blindfolded with visible bruises on his body.

Vang claims that on the day Elijah went missing, he woke the child up for breakfast before continuing his punishment by making him stand at the foot of his bed and pray. Vang said he fell asleep and awoke to find Elijah gone, prompting a 911 call at 10:59 AM on February 20. An Amber Alert was issued that afternoon, but by then, the trail had gone cold.

Over the summer, authorities continued their search efforts. They found Elijah’s blanket over three miles from the house, but little else. Law enforcement searched local landfills and rivers, but no other evidence of Elijah’s whereabouts came to light.

The search for Elijah has been exhaustive. In a statement on the six-month anniversary of his disappearance, the Two Rivers Police Department reassured the public that they were still actively working on the case. “Elijah is always on our minds within our agency, and we continue to be hopeful that we will locate him.”

While the discovery of human remains has given the community a glimmer of hope for closure, officials urge caution. Testing and identification of the remains are ongoing, and the public is advised to await official updates. “We continue to follow up on tips and leads… this is still an active investigation, and we are working hard to find answers,” said Captain Andrew Raatz of the Two Rivers Police Department.

As the investigation progresses, the people of Two Rivers remain vigilant, hoping that justice for Elijah is within reach. Resident Tristan Greely expressed the sentiment shared by many: “I have three little kids at home, and that’s a scary thing. To think that he’s been missing for six months, that’s sad… but at least, the community now can have some peace.”

The town of Two Rivers watches and waits, united in its desire for the truth to emerge.
